Description
The pear-shaped vase rises from a short foot to a tall neck with an everted rim, decorated in underglaze cobalt blue. The rounded body is painted with an elegant phoenix perched upon rockwork, set within a landscape with flowering branches, another bird in flight, and a butterfly. Above is a band of ruyi motifs, while the neck is decorated with coin motifs. The base bears a hare mark.
