A fascinating and historically significant archive chronicling the travels and bureaucratic challenges of Belgian Roger H. Ch. Tirot, a self-described “world traveller”, during his journey through Southeast Asia in 1960–1961, focusing on his prolonged stay and administrative entanglement in Burma (modern Myanmar). Includes four pages of detailed, typewritten correspondence, dated 24 June 1961, from Tirot in Rangoon (Yangon), Burma to the ambassador of Belgium in Bangkok, Thailand, written in French.
