Painted in blue, this plate features a Dutch three-masted ship with the inscription “Vertrouwen” in a panel above and “Pieter Pieters Eisen 1761” below. The border is adorned with a floral band and cherub heads. It was likely commissioned by a Dutch sea captain named Pieter Pieters Eisen around 1761, possibly during a visit to the port of Liverpool.
