Dit lot werd verkocht op 2018-12-08 en is niet meer beschikbaar

Dim.: 96 x 78 cm (the frame)
Dim.: 77,5 x 60 cm (the work)

The work inscribed in the lower section.

Condition: (UV-checked) ( removed from the frame for inspection)
- Please note that the encasing is now removed.
- The work mounted on linen-mounted board by means of two wooden bars on the back of the panel on which the textile (or canvas) is mounted.
- The surface in uncleaned, untouched condition. Presenting visible wear, losses, scratches and minor discolouration. We would describe the general condition of the work as 'in reasonably good condition, would benefit from a limited restoration'.
- The gilded applied design showing crackling.
- Superficial losses, possibly delibirately applied, to the text in the lower left corner.
- The figure on the far right with superficial wear, possibly due to humidity. The facial features in part missing.
- The central figure on the lower half lacking a row of inset pearls. We believe each group of pearls consisted of four pearls instead of the now-remaining two per row.
- The textile ('pants' of Vishnu) worn and somewhat stained. The figure lacking a number of inset coloured glass beads.
- The edges of the work generally worn.
- Please note that we have a limited amount of expertise with this type of paintings. Added images are part of the condition report. We remain at your disposal for further questions.
