The collection features a diverse array of images, including scenes of ordinary people at work, portraits of individuals seated outdoors, bustling market views with produce and animals, Annamite and Sikh policemen, Taoist and Buddhist priests, coffins in open fields, crematory jars, a traditional funerary procession, beggars in a boat, and junks navigating the canal and the Huangpu River.

A copy of this collection is held by the University of California.
