Provenance:
- The collection of Charles-Gaston Esmangart de Bournonville, mayor of Saint-Maurice (1831-1905), Paris. A dandy aristocrat and habitué to the Egyptian court, he had a particular interest in Islamic art. Several works from his collection now reside in the Louvre's Islamic department, most notably the entrance gate to the Islamic room.
- The Larminet-Davioud collection, Lille, France.
