Dit lot werd verkocht op 2017-10-28 en is niet meer beschikbaar

H.: 36 cm
The bases with an impressed mark, each vase inscribed.

The exterior colophon mark indicates that the vases were made in Yokohama, probably by the first generation Kōzan in Yokohama, but the pair were handled, under contract, by Nobata Seizo (probably an exporter). The decoration probably applied by Samukawa Unchō.

Condition: (UV-checked)
- The vase on the right lacking one of the applied tips just below the decorated band above the shoulder.
- With typical surface crackling, some slightly more apparent, resulting in 3 tight glaze lines visible on the top rim.
- Minor superficial wear to the enamels and negligible baking flaw.
- The unglazed footrim with a superficial ca. 12 x 7 mm chip on the underside.

- The vase on the left
- Generally in excellent condition with a hairline along the entire diameter of the base.
- A burst glaze bubble just above the base with a tight resulting 1 cm glaze line on the unglazed footrim. The footrim and the area just above it with minor baking flaws.
