Provenance: With an old label on the base reading 'Fürst Schönburg'. The Schönburg family is part of the European 'High Nobility' and owns various important properties across the continent. The label probably refers to Prince Alois Schönburg-Hartenstein, (German: Alois Fürst von Schönburg-Hartenstein) (November 21, 1858 – September 21, 1944). He was a military officer in the Austro-Hungarian army and as a Prince of Schönburg-Hartenstein, a member of the Austrian nobility, he briefly served from March to July 1934 as the Minister of Defense in the First Austrian Republic.

Condition: (UV-checked)
- The cover with the finial reattached, the break retouched. With a 5 x 2 cm section broken out from the rim and restuck, the break retouched. Another touch-up to a 3 cm chip on the rim.
- The vase with a section from the neck broken out and restuck, over ca. 1/4the of the circumference. A related hairline running down through the knot for app. 2/3 of the total height.
- The restoration very well executed.
- The enamels of very good quality, the overall apearance of the vase being very attractive.
