A nice probably Japanese lacquer covered album with vintage silver gelatin prints.
The photos were made around 1900, and cover China and Japan.
It includes historical views of Tsingtau (Qingdao) and surroundings, scenic environments, everyday life, portraits and buildings in the early 20th century.

Some photos with handwritten inscriptions.

Counting 91 photographs. 

Condition:
The album shows age-related signs of wear. The cover is rubbed with nicks, scratches as well as loss of material. The pages with small stains and yellowing at the edge. The photographs are generally in good condition, some have faded, some are rubbed in places and partly with little creases.
