Dia.: 7,2 cm - H.: 4 cm (the cup)
According to Howard and Ayers, the central design is after a European print entitled 'The Washtub' (Le Cuvier) after Le Mesle:
"The subject was a popular one for it allowed the lady to be naked with innocence, and it was copied over at least a decade. It is probable that the cup and saucer in this collection are 'matched', the former being coarser in execution and perhaps a few years later. Other examples: teabowl and saucer, Victoria & Albert Museum; Dutch-decorated plate, after the same original, but finer (Sotheby's, 25 May 1971, lot 207)."
