- The top section of the painting generally in very good condition, with minor superficial wear.
- The middle section with some repair and retouching located between the op of the scholar's rock and the pink blossom tree.
- The bottom section with a repaired horizontal line, just under the gate and next to the two figures. The right bottom corner with a number of light colored stain marks.
