Exceptionnel vase ou pot à pinceaux en ivoire sculpté, 18/19e

Wonderfully carved, in the shape of a narcissus flower, emerging from a rocky floral group with more narcissus and other flowers, with insects and birds. 18th/19th C. Size incl. stand 25 cm. The stand custom made and probably of later date. In a custom made box. We believe the present example rather to have been made as a flower pot than as a brush pot, because of the deep, concave body opposed to the known rounder examples of brush pots.
