Winter Auction 2018

Lots 901-1044 are being sold exclusively online. Access this Online Only! sale here.

This three-day sale is dedicated to Asian, Islamic and European arts.
Day 1 features important Chinese porcelain from the late Qing Dynasty and Republic periods as well as a collection of monochromes. The sculpture section shows a number of mostly Ming Dynasty ivory carvings. Cloisonné, enamel on copper and bronze wares are also very well represented, while jade, coral, soapstone and other carvings can't be absent in an Asian sale. The presence of an entire library of reference works is not a common sight! Neither are the selected paintings, including an important Cultural Revolution era work. The last section of the first day is dedicated to Chinese textiles, Chinese silver and Japanese works of art.

Day 2 starts with early Chinese works of art, to continue into an important selection of Ming Dynasty porcelain. Next up is the early Qing Dynasty, with Kangxi and Yongzheng wares. A number of imperial works are presented here, as well as in the subsequent Qianlong section. A few Southeast Asian works close the gap towards the Indian and Islamic section of this sale. Fine Turkish Iznik wares and Qajar arts are the focal points of this section, before moving into the European section of the sale. Early paintings, silver, sculptures and a large collection of European ceramics complete the catalogue.

Day 3 - ending on Monday December 10 at 3 pm - features a variety of lots available on our website only. Click here to access these lots.
