- Generally with a number of age-related splits and tension lines, expected superficial wear and surface soiling. The gilding worn.
- The top panel with losses in the upper left corner and on the lower right inside edge. A small superficial loss to the panel on the left of the central panel.
- The frontal side panel with a small loss on the lower edge. The panel slightly curled.
- The right side panel with an importan split along the entire length. Two missing nails above the right handside of the handle.
- The back side panel with an importan split along the entire length, and a loss on the corner with the left side panel.
- The left side panel with a missing nail above the left handside of the handle.
- On the inside, an old repair where the hinges are on the front side of the top panel. Superficial wear and visible deterioration. The painting largely intact.
- On the inside of the box, the red velvet partly missing on the backside panel.
