A Chinese blue and white 'Senses of Smell' dish for the European market, Kangxi mark and of the period

The central scene, “Sense of Smell,” portrays a servant presenting fragrant blossoms to French court figures gathered on a terrace and comes from a circa 1690 French engraving by the Bonnart Brothers, known for depicting fashionable court figures.
