A polychrome Dutch Delft twisted 'Queen Mary' dish, erroneously inscribed K N, 17th C.

A polychrome Dutch Delft twisted 'Queen Mary' dish, erroneously inscribed K N, 17th C.
991

Dia.: 30,5 cm

While the shape of this dish is known from white Delftware pieces, it is unusual, if not very rare, combined with the decoration of Queen Mary's portrait. The inscription K N is actually supposed to be reading K M (Koningin Mary or Maria) but due to the supposed illiteracy of the painter, the M was misspelled.

Estimate: € 500 - € 1000
