Provenance: With a label of the collection of the dukes Fitz-James, bastard sons of the English royals. The image added shows them as part of the menagerie in the noble family's dining room.

Condition report:

- Both jars are excellent condition, with normal superficial wear. One jar with a firing-related glaze loss just below the shoulder.
- Both covers in near-excellent condition, one with a superficial chip from the inner rim, the other cover with a very small superficial chip from the rim and a larger superficial chip from the outer rim.
