Marked SVE on the base for Samuel van Eenhoorn, the "De Grieksche A" workshop, Delft, 1678-1686.

Depicted are the arms of Jean-Jaques Mesme, Duke of Avaux, accollée with those of his wife Marguérite Bertrand de la Bazinière, surmounted by a ducal coronet and surrounded by the orders of the Saint-Esprit and Saint-Michel.

Condition:
- The rim with a number of retouched superficial chips, mostly visible on the underside.
- The dish still "sings" when tapped.
