The jug, with period pewter cover, decorated on the front with a medallion depicting the Roman god Mercury, surrounded by floral scrolls with a semi-portrait on top and bottom. On left and right sides, medallions depicting the sun in a text and numerals band where we find the date 1618.
The neck with a relief decorated freeze with medallions depicting the sun.
Found with a parchment role inside, dated 1579.
