Each vase signed in the medallions with putti: C. L. Waegeneer and dated 1861.

The signature stands for: Corneille-Louis Waegeneer (1819 – 1890)

Described as painter on porcelain in the registers of 1851, 1857 en 1859.
Brother-in-law of LOUIS Nedonchelle, “peintre sur porcelaine", himself a student of the well known Frédéric Faber.
Painted mostly floral impressions, mythological, biblical and historical subjects in Italian style.

Each vase with a  stamped mark below: "Stevens Brussel"
Made during the period of Héliodore Stevens, active from 1837 tot 1866.
