H: 13 cm - B: 12 cm. Probably an incense burner. See Christie's, Amsterdam, 18 Nov. 1992, Lot 266, for a similar group. Another similar example is in the Fitzwilliam Museum Cambridge, from the Glaisher Collection (see: http://webapps.fitzmuseum.cam.ac.uk/explorer/index.php?oid=74029)
Condition: Restoration to: the hand of the boy holding the ball, the ball appears to be original but fingers and below are touched up. A small chip just below his left foot touched up as well as the area around his right foot. All in all we believe the boy may have been broken off from the base at some point. Also minor restoration to the boy's right hand, where it connects with the adult figure.
