A jardiniere of exceptional quality, decorated with a garden scene all around. A most remarkable piece of Dutch Delftware.
Previously incorrectly attributed to Frederik van Frijtom. Even though the quality of this piece is exceptional, it does not fit with van Frijtom stylistically, and should be dated in the first quarter of the 18th C., rather than the late 17th C.
Condition: Some restored cracks, a metal plaque mounted on the bottom and a pot stand in the interior.
H: 32 cm. Dia.: 42 cm.
Provenance: With M. Bascourt, antiques dealer, Antwerp.
