Condition: (UV-checked)
- Both stirrups with small rim chips, small losses to the lacquer and a number of visible stress lines. The lacquer with a few filled missing spots. Please refer to the additional images to get a better idea.
- The saddle in good condition with a few small losses.

The saddle dated Bunan 2, 15th C., while the lacquer is likely to be of later date, Edo, 1st half 19th C.
The kura incised with the date and the maker's kao on the base, the front and back decorated in gold hiramakie and takamakie with birds-of-prey and scrollwork.
