An imperial Chinese cylindrical painted and lacquered wood edict container, 17/18th C.

Condition: (UV-checked)
- Superficial wear and crazing to the applied lacquer throughout.
- The lid with small losses along the rim, two larger sections of superficial loss on the top. On the outer edge, possibly with some minor retouching. Some splitting visible. Otherwise in good condtion. On the inside, an old Chinese label is adhered to the side.
- The container with small losses along the foot, two small losses along the upper neck, otherwise in good condition.
