The first day of this two-day sale features an important selection of Chinese porcelain. The morning part of the sale embraces Chinese taste porcelain, mostly from the 19th and 20th C. The afternoon starts with 3 works by the Sino-Belgian artist Sadji, continued by the section of Chinese sculpture. This includes a number of important bronzes. We follow with jades from the Ming and Qing dynasties. The wood section of the sale contains a number of important panels, including a large jade-embellished panel as well as an important laquered panel with jade and cloisonné. Followed by a nice grouping of Canton enamels, the first day is concluded by some 120 lots of Chinese famille rose porcelain from the Yongzheng and Qianlong periods.

Day 2 starts with the collection of Qianjiang cai wares. followed by 19th and 20th C. Chinese taste porcelain. Vietnamese, Korean and Thai market wares prelude the textiles section. The journey continues with the early wares from Song and Yuan Dynasties, which brings us to the monochromes. The large collection of blanc de Chine preludes the last part of the sale, which embodies mostly blue and white wares from the Ming and early Qing Dynasties, as well as wucai and famille verte wares. The sale moves towards its end with important armorial wares and a number of Japanese wares, including miniatures. After these 1000 lots, we will move on to the European ceramics section.
