The epergne is painted in underglaze blue with scenes of birds and flowers, over-decorated with European enamels.
We could not locate other examples in literature.
Condition: (UV-checked)
- The top section with one of the folded tips retouched and superficial wear to the overglaze enamels.
- The middle section somewhat warped. The outer rim with a few small superficial chips and baking flaws. Superficial wear to the overglaze enamels. Traces of glue around the opening.
- The stand also slightly deformed. With a few very small touch-ups to rim chips. Superficial wear and rubbing, notably around the opening. The stem with a restored break in the upper half.
