Two square Chinese qianjiang cai vases with buddhist lions and ladies, 19/20th C.

- The vase on the right with a superficial baking flaw on the top rim, with two small superficial chips to one of the mask handles, and one to the other mask handle. The surface with negligible superficial baking flaws. The base with adhered kiln grit.
- The vase on the left with a superficial chip to the top of a corner, two further small superficial chips to the rims. Both mask handles with small chips and superficial wear. The surface with negligible superficial baking flaws. A small chip to one of the corners of the unglazed base. A baking flaw just above the base which extends into a faint glaze line across the unglazed foot.
