The base marked in underglaze blue with a six-character Chenghua mark within double circles.

Provenance:
- With Van Der Ven & Van Der Ven, Antiques dealers, Den Bosch, The Netherlands. Displayed in the 1993 publication: "Kunst- en Antiekhandel - overzicht met prijzen en adressen"
- Acquired at the Dorchester Antiques fair in 1999 by the current owner. Accompanied by a photo from that exposition.

Condition: 
- The body with a vertical hairline of ca. 6 cm. The top rim with a number of filled rim chips and related overspraying along the entire rim.
