A pair of Chinese export porcelain grisaille and gilt plates with Aurora in her chariot, Qianlong, 18th C.

Condition: One plate is in excellent condition (the one bearing the number tag). The other plate is restored. Inspection has revealed it was broken into four parts and carefully restored, with extensive overspraying. The restoration is still fresh and hard to detect.

Dia: 23 cm.

Aurora in her chariot, drawn by two winged horses beside a bird, all amongst clouds and in the morning sun, encircled by two different panels, one with a sheep and a dog beside a tree, and one with love birds. Ca. 1745.

Provenance: A private collection of Chinese export porcelain, Antwerp.
