An important large Chinese ivory waterfront group on wood stand, Cultural Revolution

An exceptional work of high quality and important size, this fishing group measures app. 1m (100 cm) long. It's wonderfully carved and features an active fisherman on the left front, a group of birds stealing fish, a small boy seated next to the basket with the catch of the day, and a heroically depicted woman. The whole with elaborately carved flowers, clouds and birds all over. Presented on a wave-shaped wood stand. Condition: Part of the man's stick detached.
