This lot was sold on 2015-03-28 and is no longer available
A very unusual Dutch Delft blue and white chinoiserie dome. The exact use of this piece remains unknown to us. We have not found any other example in literature. Decorated with alternating panels of taoist symbols, the dome strongly reminds of a cover for a Dutch Delft vase but is much too large for this purpose. It is marked LVE 1 5 inside for Lambertus Van Eenhoorn, owner at the De Metaale Pot factory from 1691 until 1724. Condition: The rim broken and restored on a few spots. Size: 22 cm tall, 31,5 cm diameter
Price incl. premium: € 765
