A very rare set of early Dutch maiolica tiles depicting animals in lozenge frames, the corners decorated in "spaartechniek". Mounted on a metal board and ready for hanging. The elephant tile with slight rim chips overpainted. Size: ca. 26 x 26 cm. Provenance: An important Flemish private collection of Delft tiles
