- Acquired by Belgian engineer Jean Jadot during his presence in China as a railroad engineer, from 1898 until 1906. (link)
- By descent to the current owner.

Condition:
- The robe overall in poor condition, with two original gilt-metal buttons remaining. With discoloration of the light blue linning. Multiple areas of the embroidery frayed and worn. Restoration is required.
